Description: The adaptive life skills specialist works to help increase client independence by working towards goals as detailed in the treatment plan. Typical goals include communication, household chores, recreational access and self-help skills. Services take place in both home and community settings.
Qualifications:
BA/BS Required
RBT, Education Specialist, or other relevant credentials highly preferred
1+ years of experience in an academic, therapeutic or ABA setting required
Must pass background check
Must have reliable transportation and be willing to transport client
Benefits: Complementary supervision provided for those on the BCaBA or BCBA educational track. Sick time may be accrued after 90 consecutive days of employment. Paid RBT PDUs available. Retirement plan with matching for employees who qualify.
Schedule: 12 hours per week; M-Th 3-6p
Compensation: $35-50/hr depending on experience/credentials.

Adaptive Life Skills Professional

The ideal candidate uses applied behavior analysis techniques and strategies to create and implement adaptive living skills goals. Regular supervision and mentorship of the adaptive life skills specialist is required. Typical goals include communication, household chores, recreational access and self-help skills. Services take place in both home and community settings.
Qualifications:
MA/MS Required
BCBA, Education Specialist, or other relevant credentials highly preferred
Must have at least one year of management experience
1+ years of experience in an academic, therapeutic or ABA setting required
Must pass background check
Benefits: Complementary supervision provided for those on the BCaBA or BCBA educational track. Sick time may be accrued after 90 consecutive days of employment. Paid RBT PDUs available. Retirement plan with matching for employees who qualify.
Schedule: Varies. Currently 20 hours per month with potential to grow into a full time caseload.
Compensation: $50-75/hr depending on experience/credentials.

Special Needs Yoga Instructor

Location: Oakland, CA
Description: The special needs yoga instructor leads both 1:1 and group yoga sessions for individuals with physical and/or developmental disabilities, with a focus yoga access, wellness and mindfulness.
Qualifications: Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) required. At least one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities as a caretaker, teacher, paraprofessional, etc. Must be able to move quickly and lift up to 30lbs. Must pass background check.
Benefits: Hours worked count towards Yoga Alliance instruction time requirements. Receive mentorship and guidance from other instructors experienced with yoga instruction for individuals with developmental disabilities. Sick time may be accrued after 90 consecutive days of employment.
Schedule: Negotiable based on available clientele.
Compensation: $40-50/hr.

Special Needs Yoga Volunteer

Description: The Inclusive yoga volunteer assists students with physical and/or developmental disabilities to access yoga and mindfulness during structured yoga classes.
Qualifications: Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) preferred, familiarity with yoga and/or physical fitness required. Must be able to move quickly and lift up to 30lbs. No other experience necessary. Must pass background check.
Benefits: Volunteer work counts towards Yoga Alliance instruction time requirements. Receive free experiece and training on yoga adaptations to meet the needs of special populations.
Schedule: Currently 2nd Sundays from 2-3p

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Typical goals include communication, household chores, recreational access and self-help skills. Services take place in both home and community settings.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
RBT credential required
BA/BS Highly Preferred
1+ years of experience in an academic, therapeutic or ABA setting required
Must pass background check
Must have reliable transportation and be willing to transport client

Schedule: 5-24 hours per week depending on client needs and applicant availability
