ILS (Independent Living Skills Training):
ILS is intended for clients who have the necessary skills but benefit from reminders, routines, organization, and accountability.

  • Navigating Medical Appointments
  • Cooking, Cleaning & Household Chores
  • Navigating the Supermarket
  • Community Access




ADL / AST (Adaptive Skills Training)
AST is intended for individuals whose adaptive functioning deficits are more significant and who require a higher level of clinical judgment, assessment, or specialized teaching strategies.
Examples may include:
  • Personal hygiene routines
  • Toileting programs
  • Bathing and grooming
  • Dressing
  • Eating/feeding skills
  • Complex behaviorally-based daily living programs
  • Teaching skills that require task analyses, behavior analytic strategies, data collection, and systematic intervention
